L&D needs evolution, not disruption

Run L&D like a startup, they say.
What they don’t mention is that 90% of startups are destined to fail.

Statistically, only 1% of the remaining 10% will achieve something significant. Is anyone still sure running L&D like a startup is a good idea?

Now, I’m not saying that L&D should stick with the LMS systems and off-the-shelf courses from the ’90s.

But from a position where you’re establishing a long-lasting relationship with the employees (who are the most important asset of every company), you really can’t afford to make many mistakes.

Keep this in mind when you read about the next new technology that will disrupt the world of L&D.

L&D doesn’t need a disruption. It needs a gradual evolution – in small, incremental steps that can immediately demonstrate their value.
