What are interactive links and how do I create them?

Interactive links are a handy feature you can add to any slide in your content. 

Interactive links direct learners to additional slides that are not part of the main course flow, allowing you to include extra information without disrupting the primary learning path.

Upon clicking an interactive link, an additional slide opens either as a text box under the link, a modal window or in a full screen mode. Here’s a short clip with the examples:

There are two options for adding links to additional slides:

A: Link to an existing additional slide

1. Click +Add element
2. Drag and drop the Link element onto the slide
3. In the pop-up, stay on the first tab, Link to additional slide, and select the slide you want to link to. 
4. Click Confirm. 
5. Lastly, adjust the design of the link to your liking.

B: Link to a new additional slide

1. Click +Add element
2. Drag and drop the Link element onto the slide
3. In the pop-up, stay on the first tab, Link to additional slide, and select the option New additional slide to create a new one.
4. Choose how you’d like the slide to open:
   • in a box under the link,
   • in a modal window, or
   • in full screen mode.
5. Click Confirm. 
6. Next, you pick a slide template for your new additional slide and Confirm the selection.
7. Click on the new additional slide in the content structure list and equip it with your information.
8. Once you are done designing your new slide, return to the slide with the interactive link.

Lastly, adjust the design of the link to your liking.

Pro-tip:

To speed up your content creation, you can copy and paste interactive links. This way, you retain the original link design and only need to update the target slide for the new link.
